Hey guys. So one of the biggest complaints I hear about AI generated music is that the vocals sound completely lifeless. You generate a track and its just... flat. It sounds like a robot reading a textbook instead of a singer actually feeling the music.

I see alot of people blaming the software, but honestly, it usually comes down to how you wrote the lyrics. The AI needs clues on how to sing. Here are a few tricks to make your AI singer sound way more human.

  1. Keep your syllables balanced If your first line has 5 words and your next line has 15 words, the AI is gonna struggle hard. It will either speed up the singing to cram all those words in, or it will just lose the rhythm completely. Try to keep the length of your lines matching. Think of it like poetry.

  2. Punctuation is literally everything AI tools like Suno read commas and periods like sheet music. If you want a dramatic pause before the beat drops, literally just put an ellipsis (...) or a comma. If you dont use punctuation, the singer will just take one massive breath and rush through the whole verse. Commas equal breaths.

  3. Add "stage directions" You can actually tell the AI how to sing a specific part. If you put [Whisper] or [Emotional Vocal] right before a line, the engine tries to apply that effect. It doesn't work 100% of the time, but when it hits, its pure magic. You can even use tags like [Belting] for huge chorus moments.
